Welcome to ACHIEVE – Advocate For Children And Environment. Since 2013, we have been dedicated champions for child rights protection and environmental conservation across Uganda. As a community-based organization, we believe that every child deserves a safe, healthy environment to grow and thrive. Who We Are

Putting Children and Environment First

ACHIEVE (Advocate For Children And Environment) is a dynamic community-based organization established in 2013 with a clear mission: to put children and the environment first. We primarily operate in Wakiso, Kampala, and Mukono districts, while maintaining a strong project implementation network through partnerships with other CBOs and NGOs across Uganda.

What is ACHIEVE and when was it established?
ACHIEVE (Advocate For Children And Environment) is a community-based organization established in 2013. We focus on child rights protection and environmental conservation, primarily operating in Wakiso, Kampala, and Mukono districts.

What areas do we cover in our operations?
We primarily operate in Wakiso, Kampala, and Mukono districts. Additionally, we have a project implementation network through partnerships with other CBOs and NGOs operating in various districts across Uganda.

What are our main focus areas?
Our two major focus areas are child rights protection and environmental management. We emphasize primary healthcare, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) solutions, children's health and education, and environmental conservation.

Who can benefit from our programs?
Our programs benefit children, parents/caregivers, teachers, community leaders, healthcare workers, health inspectors, Village Health Team members, district leadership, and academic institutions.

How do we implement our projects?
We implement projects through direct interventions, stakeholder training and awareness programs, research and development, advocacy and lobbying, capacity building, and resource mobilization.

What makes ACHIEVE different from other organizations?
Our unique approach combines child rights protection with environmental conservation, recognizing that children need a healthy environment to thrive. We're community-based, ensuring local ownership and sustainable solutions.

How can communities get involved with ACHIEVE?
Communities can get involved by participating in our awareness programs, joining our training sessions, becoming partners in our networks, or reaching out to discuss specific community needs and challenges.

Do you work with government institutions?
Yes, we actively engage with government institutions at various levels, from local community leadership to district authorities. We also lobby duty bearers to prioritize child rights protection

What is our approach to environmental conservation?
We focus on sustainable solutions, particularly in WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), environmental management, community education, and promoting sustainable development practices that benefit both current and future generations.
